Having been a fan of the first three films I was somewhat reluctant to see this fourth film in the series when it was released as my gut feeling was that this would be a complete disaster of a film. Having read mixed views on the film when it was released, once it came out on DVD I just couldn't resist and felt the need to complete my collection even if merely to satisfy my own collection urges. I sat down to watch this one well prepared to be proven wrong about my gut feeling that the film would be a poor one, however ultimately I was right and 'Scary Movie 4' really is the worst of the lot. I say the worst of the lot, but this doesn't really do my feelings justice as I ... Read the complete review

The Scary Movie franchise has now moved into its fourth instalment and it’s still making money. Let’s face it; these movies are easy to knock out. Every year or so they’ll knock up a script spoofing various hit movies of the past year and the final result will be a bunch of skits that will either hit or miss but are bound to appeal to the lowest common denominator. For a franchise called Scary Movie, it now appears that what was once a spoof on horror movies is now a spoof on any movie so really the title is irrelevant. I’ll hold my hands up and say that I enjoy the first movie, it’s got some good jokes, manages to riff on horror films of recent years and ... Read the complete review

Scary Movie returns with its 4th outing (and hopefully last) but have the laughs continued? The film sees David Zucker return as director for his second movie in the series following his first offering in Scary Movie 3 and with mixed reviews on Scary Movie 3 has his luck improved with this offering? The film sees Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris thankfully returning in the role) trying to move on from her somewhat tumultuous past with a new job as caretaker of a house and the old lady who lives in the house but soon Cindy finds that the house is haunted by a young boy. Cindy discovers alien trIpods are starting to appear and she needs to discover how to stop them ... Read the complete review

Scary Movie 4 is the latest fourth part of the series and as ever I couldn't wait to see this film. I couldn't help but be dissapointed though and I felt it was a real anticlimax. Compared to Scary Movie 3 which really was much better I didn't fell that this was anywhere near the standard. I would still recommend seeing it if you are a Scary Movie fan because it isn't that bad, it just could have been much better. The film was originally released in August 2006 on DVD. The film features Anthony Anderson and Craig Bierko who are quite good in the film but not brilliant. The film is funny at times but I felt it really was an anticlimax compared with the other three films ... Read the complete review

Always a bit silly me and my sister Sam and avid movie fans so when we watched the first Scary movie film which was quite a few years back now, we found it absolutely hilarious. Now they are on their fourth film and it has become apparent that the standards are slipping quite badly so when we rented the fourth a couple of weeks ago and sat down to watch it, it was no surprise that it was very weak. Although we still found it extremely funny at times I am going to try and get over what the film is like and also why they should give up with the franchise. ----- The Film: Cindy Campbell is always getting herself into sticky situations and ...
