Advantages: A good Laugh

Disadvantages: Some things are abit silky.

Ooo, i'm scared. Scared of laughing actually. It's a
spoofy movie...ge'd it, spoofy movie, spooky movie.

Scary Movie begins with Carmen Electra making popcorn
and receiving a phone call from a masked killer,
de-ja-vu of Drew Barrimore in the first Scream.

The story is more than a little familiar,
knife-wielding lunatic begins slashing his way through
a small clique of friends and is pursued by a soulless
news reporter and a retarded deputy. Even the school
principal is played by non other than...the 'fonz'.
The guy out Happy Days, I just can't remember his
name.

There isn't really too much else to say about Scary
Movie without giving away a lot of its gags. Some of
the jokes fall flat, but most are direct hits. It is
a laugh. The film does a good job at mixing the plots
of Scream, I know What You Did Last Summer etc.
Actually, the story almost makes more sense than the
movies they're spoofing. Alot of the spoofing joke
work well and the one to watch out for is The Matrix
fight scene.

The movie delivers what it promises, lots of laughs
aimed at the teen market, I don't think "adults" will
like this one as much as the younger generation. You
thought "American Pie" was gross? Well, wait till you
see this. It didn't go to number one in the States
for no reason.
