Advantages: Funny, Jack Black is amazing in this film

This film definitely shows of what Jack Black is capable of and this is him at his best. This film is funny, clever, creative and really different from all the other films out there.

So Black plays this rock obsessed wannabe who's dream is to be a rock star. Unfortunately he gets kicked out of his band and strapped for cash he decides to go be a temp. He discovers how musically talented kids and comes up with a plan. The film is unexpectedly good, you read the plot and it sounds like another mediocre kids film but it's so not. This is one that will get adults and kids laughing all the way through.

There is just so much enthusiasm and witty comments in this film you can't help but enjoy yourself. There are some great, catchy songs and the acting is of high quality form both the kids and the adults. This film is so well casted, the kids are adorable and very talented and the other main characters are, especially Jack Black are perfect for the role. It's such a great feel good film and some what inspiring. You understand and feel for the characters: you understand Dewey's (Black) desperation to reach his dream and you feel for the kids who live in cotton wool world created by their parents. This film has feeling and has a great sense of humor. It's well directed and the screen play is original. Jack Black has been in a number of questionable films where i'd say his talents were wasted but this film really shows what he has to offer and should be commended for his performance.
