I moved on to Scrubs after having watched all of Friends and getting slightly bored with it, and nothing else really grabbing my fancy. Scrubs is a hospital drama, which follows the life of John Dorian (J.D.), his friend since college Turk, Carla Espinosa (a nurse), Elliot Reid (a competitive female doctor) and Perry Cox (an attending doctor, in charge of JD when he first starts). It is set at Sacred Heart hospital and is narrated by JD because he has an inner monologue always running through his head. As soon as they arrive at Sacred Heart they end up right in on all the action. JD manages to annoy the Janitor on his second day, and they have an ... Read the complete review

I'm not normally somene who would buy box sets of series that I have already seen but Scrubs is a big favourite of mine and I decided to splash out and get the first series. For those who do not know Scrubs is a US comedy and stars Zach Braff as JD and young medical intern and the first episode starts with him arriving at Sacred Heart Hospital to start his medical training as a doctor. The style of this show is to have the story told by JD and quite often the scene will cut away to what is going on in his head where he has a rather furtile imagination and is prone to the surreal. His best friend at the hospital and former room mate at Uni is Chris ... Read the complete review

With Friends over and Will and Grace not fitting the qualifications that a good comedy has (and the fact that it has ended) I have been waiting for a nice comedy so I spend less watching friends repeats that never seem to get boring, and more watching something new. New to me that is., since this great comedy started in 2001 and it was only over half term that I got into it. SO I brought the box set and watched all 24 episodes so fast it can’t be good for me. Basically it is a comedy about interns starting work at the Sacred Heart hospital, a hospital full of weird and wonderful employees, yet all as realistic as each other. The cast is mainly a bunch of new ... Read the complete review

Scrubs Series 1 is the DVD of the hit US comedy first aired in the UK on Channel 4. I hadn't actually seen this show when it originally came out, however all my friends seemed to like it, and after borrowing a copy of the DVD, I was hooked. I think I watched the whole thing in a weekend, and couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the week. I now have all 4 series as part of my own collection, and it's definately my goto show when I'm bored and there's nothing on telly. I always try to sum up the style of a show to someone who hasn't seen it by comparing it to other shows. For Scrubs I find it very original, I've not seen anything ... Read the complete review

Scrubs is a hospital based comedy starring Zach Braff as Jd, Donald Faison as Turk, Judy Reyes as Carla Espinoza, Sarah Chalk as Elliot Reid and John C McGinley as Perry Cox. We see John Dorian as he first enters Sacred hart hospital as a scared medical with his best friend Chris Turk or brown bear as JD calls him.
