*****Synopsis*****
After talking to a girl online, Ian heads across the country to meet up with her, taking with him his two friends
Alicia and Lance. The fastest way to get there by stealing his brother, Rex's pride and joy 'The Judge'.
*****Opinion*****
I felt everyone played their parts very well, all with different character traits.
Ian is a very nervous high school student which is played brilliantly by Josh Zuckerman who fits the role perfectly.
Alicia has mixed emotions and doesn't really know what she wants. Again these emotions and feelings are portrayed in a very believable manner by Amanda crew.
Lance is a sort of playboyish, almost sex addict guy who is encouraging Ian to lose his virginity. This sort of charcter is becoming more common in
comedies of this kind (Stu (Dan Fogler) in Good luck Chuck)). Clark Duke wasn't quite as amusing as Dan Fogler in this role, but still played a good part.
Seth green played the kind of role that you would expect of him. One of my favourite characters as a sarcastic amish man, called Ezekiel.
Along with Seth Green my other favourite character was Rex, played by James Marsden. Rex is Ian's older brother who is constantly threatening and making of fun him.
The actual storyline to this is pretty thin. The movie progresses at a steady rate, not hanging around in the same surroundings for too long. But the storyline basically just acts as a way for the movie getting from A to B with the stuff in the middle not really being related to the main storyline in any big way. This is often the case in these movies and I don't really have a problem with this as long as the overall movie is enjoyable.
Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this movie that much and neither did quite a lot of people it seems. I heard that this movie was pulled from the cinema because nobody was going to see it.
I knew what kind of humour was going to be involved and fully expected to enjoy this movie, but I just didn't.
There are quite a few funny moments throughout the movie, but there just is not enough of them.
If you don't think you're going to like this movie based on the trailers then I fully expect you not to.
If you think you are going to enjoy this movie then I would say it's 50-50.
I wouldn't recommend rushing out to get this movie when it's released on DVD, but may be worth watching if you get the chance.
6.5/10
