A lot of the quality of Sharpe lands on Sean Bean's shoulders - the man is charged with taking the title role, and does a good job. First up, this is £8 at Amazon, but don't buy it! You can get it in a double pack with Sharpe's Sword for £7 from the same site! It's 1809, and Sharpe is promoted to lieutenant, putting him in charge of a band of sharpshooters led by Patrick O'Malley. When sent on a seemingly simple mission, things take a turn for the worst, and Sharpe's first challenge as a leader will be to take his men through a dangerous adventure.
