Great British comedy (Shaun Of The Dead (DVD))
Member Name: Neilshelp
Advantages: Brilliant, one of the best spoof comedies I've ever seen Disadvantages: Can't think of any
If you think spoof comedies like Scary movie, are too americanised then this is the film for you, based upon dawn of the dead, the film follows a similar narrative with a twist in that the main charcters are two lazy lager louts who just want to get wrecked and party but it is upto them to fight the undead. But with the dead attempting to eat them at every turn its upto shaun to save his best friend Ed, girlfreind Liz, her annoying freinds David and dianne and of course his mother! some graet moments in the film watch out for dianne's acting lesson to the gang, and the beating of a zombie to the "Queen" song, thats the funniest thing i have ever seen! If your not into Blood and guts, the film isnt for you but maybe if you like a nice romatic comedy then could ignore the guts for the love story of Shaun and Liz. It is seriously worth considering buying this film. Summary: Great Britishness in action |
