Shrek. The makers of Walt Disney have made one of the best-animated films ever.
This film is a typical Disney film and only lasts around one hour and a half, but what you get crammed into that time is quite astonishing.
This movie has a good storyline. I wont say too much as I don’t want to spoil it for the people who haven’t seen it. I will say that it’s a typical fairytale and has a happy ending. What did you expect no Disney film could end horribly? However I was a little disappointed because I thought it would be better as it didn’t really live up to my expectations. This was a bit of an off put for me, but I thought I’d thought I will still give it a chance and I wasn’t about to tell that spoil things.
The characters include Shrek, Donkey, the Princess and the Prince. My favorite character in the film has to be without a doubt, Donkey. Eddie Murphy supplies his voice. Murphy adds real character to the four-legged animal. Donkey provides the film with so much laughter and entertainment. I think he’s by far the best character in the performance. The other characters in the film also have famous people who do their voices. Like Mike Myers does the voice of Shrek. Cameron Diaz as the Princess and John Lithgow as the Prince.
Any Matrix fans out there will like a small section of this film as a little bit is copied from the film. I can say that the Princess shows off what she’s made of. Which is quite impressive.
This film does have music in it and I did think it was quite cheesy. (In a good way) Well what do you expect, it was by the Bharharmen!
When I first heard about this film as a lot of people were making a fuss over it saying it’s a “fantastic film”. So I’d thought I’d go and check it out to see what the fuss was about. I have to say I was a little disappointed because I thought the storyline was a little weak in places and I also think it was a little short
as I wanted more to happen. However the animation and the humor did make up for these negative things. If you like Disney films then this is a good film and you will enjoy it. This is a film suited for young children and teenagers, but I don’t think adults will like it. They might like it because it’s funny.
Overall this film was alright. I wouldn’t watch it again and I don’t think I would buy it.
