This is a review of the film. 'Silver Streak' stars Gene Wilder as mild mannered publisher George Caldwell travelling on a train [the Silver Streak] from Los Angeles to Chicago. Although he claims to want a quiet journey to catch up on some reading, it turns out to be anything but. First he meets a scantily clad Jill Clayburgh in the partitioned compartment to his. He then meets the lecherous Bill Sweet [a great performance from Ned Beatty] who describes the train as a 'cathouse on wheels!'. What this all leads to is a classic whodunnit on a train, borrowing from films such as 'Narrow Margin' and 'Strangers On A Train', and several other Hitchcock/noir type ... Read the complete review
