Clearly, a man of great genius thought up the title right?
Well, although that was sarcastic, it could be true. I mean, if they'd called it dark flight or plane death it would hardly have arroused suspicion. So calling it by exactly what it was made it stick in people's mind. I got exactly what i was expecting with this movie, with cheap budget mild horror but mostly comedy stupidity, and i have to admit, i didn't mind that too much.

Plot-
As if there even needs to be one, the plot could have been about a plane travelling Great Uncle Bulgaria to China to escape from his commune of wombles and no one would have cared...
Anyway, the plot here is that Neville Flynn (Samuel L Jackson) a secret service agent, is transporting a murder witness (Nathan Philips) back to America to stand trial. Though a gang member who cannot allow this to happen places a large amount of poisonous snakes on board to be unleashed midflight and kill the guests.
Now i'm thinking, wouldn't it have just been easier to have a sniper waiting for when they got off the plane? And how easy is it to put a box full of killer snakes on a plane to American anyway? Wouldn't it have been easier to just put a bomb on instead? Anyway...it's easy to pick holes with the idea, and that is why you have to appreciate it for the nonsense that it is.

The actors are regular enough, a nice blend of hotties, action guys, wimps, inept pilots, comedy characters, and of course, Samuel L Jackson, as the ever cool, collected guy. Just once! I'd like to see Mr Jackson play an IT manager....

The special effects are moderately low budget, with the snakes sometimes looking so unrealistic that it may have been better off to attack people with painted sausages, but theyr'e not all bad.

The movie has its charms, such as seeing a yappie handbag dog get eaten i guess.

But, this is a movie you should watch only if you're able to sit and not judge a film too harshly, as it is meant to be cheap silly nonsense, so don't expect anything more.

The best thing about this is that, for me, it never got boring, as stupid as it was. It manages to run at a good pace throughout, and keeps you giggling at points.

Conclusion-
This is mostly a movie for fans of mild horror and comedy. The film does have some pretty gross scenes, so be aware people. Also, this is not a film for kids...for every, conceivable reason out there...
