I purchased this film from Blockbuster from the pre-owned section for £7.00. It can be purchased from Amazon.co.uk for £9.99 and off play.com for £9.99. The DVD has a 12 rating due to some sex references and some strong language. It is 108 minutes long (1 hour and 48 minutes). If you like chick flicks then this is your sort of film! This main four characters are played by: Kate Hudson as Darcy Ginnifer Goodwin as Rachel Colin Egglesfield as Dex And John Krasinski as Ethan Darcy, Rachel and Ethan grew up together, Darcy and Rachel are best friends and Ethan tended to be the tag along guy ... **THIS IS A FILM ONLY REVIEW** "Something Borrowed" definitely falls under the romcom category, although I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't follow the usual predictable romcom format and it kept me guessing about the outcome right until the end of the film. --The Plot-- The film opens with a surprise birthday party for Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin), who has just turned 30 and her best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson) has arranged a party for her. Something Borrowed has to be one of the best films of it's genre this year. It was released in the cinema early in 2011 and it's dvd release was 29th August 2011. This review is solely on the film-and boy, what an excellent film it is! The cast features Kate Hudson, a favourite of many rom-com fans and then some more minor, but equally as talented cast members such as Ginnifer Goodwin who was made famous for appearing as polygamist wife in the hit American sit com 'Big Love'. The cast also features the extremely hansome Colin Eggelsfield and the funny John Krasinski. The plot itself follows Rachel (Goodwin), a young lawyer who's just turned 30. ... Rachel blends into the background, she's smart and beautiful but is constantly upstaged by her life-long best friend, the fun and flighty Parker. This even extends to love when Parker dates and gets engaged to Rachels long-time love and study partner Dax, who harbours feelings for the two of them. But as secrets get created and unveiled and as the road to happily ever after grows ever more gloomy the love triangle becomes ever more treacherous and the happiness of the three of them is endangered. This is even further complicated by Ethan, a close friend whose feelings for one of the girls guarantees that the fall out of the affairs and lies will end in heart-break. ...
