Premium Review South Park: Vol. 1 (DVD): Pretty damn funny (457 words)

When i first got into South Park, the attraction was that my mates wern't allowed to watch it and i was. A few years later i am now old enough to understand the jokes more and find it a lot funnier than i used to. Cartman gets an anal probe In this episode Aliens go to South park and kidnap Kyle's little brother, Mutilate dozens of Cows and give Cartman an Anal probe. The boys try to rescue Kyle's little brother. This is not my favourite episode but i still found it extremely funny. The immature jokes, such as Cartman farting fire every few minutes, appeal to me. But there are also deeper, more adult jokes. 7/10 Volcanoe Stan's ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review In the beginning.... (1205 words)

For me as much as anyone, the months of November and December are very expensive. There's my dad's birthday, my best friend's birthday as well as other birthdays, most of which I have to go out for and buy presents, which adds up to be pretty expensive, and when you add Christmas to that list, it's not wonder that I'm so far into my overdraft. Fortunately, my own birthday also falls in November, so I usually get a bit of money for that which helps, but doesn't come close to covering the extra costs of this month. I realised, however, that reviewing some if not all of my birthday presents would help me to earn enough to cover the cost of at least a couple of presents, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review South Park: Vol. 1 (DVD): Come on down to south park! (1424 words)

Rating:

Its been over 10 years since South park was first released and its still going strong to this day. There have been a total of 174 episodes up to now and it is in its 12th season. There has also been a movie "Bigger longer and uncut" With this 3 disc DVD set however you are getting the original 13 episodes from season one. South park has changed a lot in its 11 years on tele but it was still as funny back then as it is now. It was originally created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker who have gone on to star in a few movies themselves, the best of which being "BASEketball". South park began a few years before its release when Matt and Trey ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review South Park-smaller, shorter and cut-but still brilliant! (1856 words)

I you've watched South Park, you'll know butters is in it, and hence my name being butters because i love the show. However, in this series, butters isn't rally a character you know, but the first volume, i have to say-is still brilliant. Story and Characters. ********************* If you have not heard of South Park, it is a quiet (little punkass, trailer trash etc.) mountain town in Colorado USA. It is filled with loveable characters and is just a 2D-ish cartoon with some great stories. In this series, everything imaginable to your mind is just part of everyday life there. Not for anyone who is religious or takes offence easily really, but ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review South Park: Vol. 1 (DVD): South Park: Vol. 1 review (280 words)
by - written on 19/09/08 (Very useful, 42 readings)
Rating:

In case anyone doesn't know about it yet, South Park is about four boys (Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny) as they go about their lives in the little town of South Park, bumping into colorful characters and having wacky adventures. The first volume has four episodes from the very first season in 1997, "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe," "Volcano," "Weight Gain 4000," and "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride". I think Trey Parker and Matt Stone could never have imagined how well received their show would be and that it would run for 12 seasons (and counting). Or, in some cases, badly received, but that just drove more people to see ...  Read the complete review
