Spooks is one of those programmes that I just adore. Unfortunately however I can't say that I jumped on the Spooks bandwagon from the very start. To be perfectly honest though the reason for this was the fact that I was only 12 when the first series originally aired and therefore it just wasn't part of my viewing although my dad was watching it. I personally caught on during series 3 and then decided that the best thing for me to do would be to get the previous series' on DVD to ensure that I didn't miss out on anything. Between 9 and 10pm on Sunday 17th September, I was a nervous wreck. Edging further and further towards the edge of my sofa, I was mesmerised. Hooked. Totally engrossed in what was to be the most chilling hour of anything I’d watched on TV for some time. It was the premier episode of Spooks series 5, and it had me biting every millimetre of fingernail I could get my teeth into.
