Film Only Review:
Nikki (Ashton Kutcher) is whats known in Los Angeles as a hustler. Tall, dark, attractive and with very nice abs he basically targets middle aged attractive ladies with plenty of money to fall for him, has plenty of sex with them and in return he gets a place to live, access to a car and plenty of money spent on him. Hes a gigalo with little morals with a formula that always gets him what he wants.
Cruising at the end of a party he meets and picks up over 40 single lady Samantha who is very rich and it isn't long before they are at it all over the place and he's wearing prada clothes and ruling the roost, throwing parties at her mansion and whilst shes out of town he's having sex with an array of young beauties and living the high life. In the meantime Samantha is falling for for Nikki and having a jolly good time but one day whilst hes having a coffee a young feisty lady who works in the coffee shop, Heather (Margarita Levieva) who even after he pursues her simply isn't interested and wont fall into line and give into him which is a bit of a challenge to Nikki and he finds himself for once on the backfoot.
He finds himself questioning his lifestyle and maybe wanting different things from life suddenly but does she have ulterior motives and if so can she change or will Nikki get a taste of his own medicine in the love stakes?
I was looking forward to watching this movie after a mate of mine had seen it and liked it and I love films so decided to purchase it. This though was not a good a film!
Ashton pulled off the narcissistic womaniser very well in the beginning. He was a selfish character I couldnt help but take an instant dislike to however as as the film tried to become deeper and for him to explore who he was and what he wanted from life he just fumbled about and made a right bad job of it. Why is Ashton acting I kept thinking!
Anne Heche who played Samantha put in the most convincing performance in the whole thing for me and thats saying something as even that wasn't good by any means and by the end of the film I was just glad it was over and all I wanted was Nikki (Ashton) to get his just desserts and hopefully be played by someone else for a change!
This is riddled with bad language and is almost all out porn with lots of sex scenes that are rather graphic......and I mean alot of them. However the story for me was too loose, the characters too vacous to care about and really this is a film to avoid!
This was released in 2009 and has a runtime of 97 minutes and a new copy of this will set you back £5.17 (including p+p on Amazon).
