... are rounded up and taken away, but this is never alluded to again. Seemingly important characters disappear without trace, and new characters are thrown at us all the time. Whole subplots come and go without being set up properly, but the main thrust of the story involves a pacifist partisan, a hand-wringing priest and a whore with a heart of gold. I don't think we even find out who has betrayed the partisans, a major plot point left dangling. This is full of badness. The acting is marred by some of the worst dubbing...more

A review of just the film. This is a highlight of bad film. A bizarre Italian hybrid released in 1977, this is one of the least reputable of all the video nasties, banned in the UK under the name 'The Beast in Heat'. It provides a treat for the aficionado of bad cinema, as long as your offence threshold is pretty high. What seems to have happened here is that someone made a poor war film about partisans in Italy. Then, presumably when no one would distribute it, they decided to splice in scenes involving a sexy SS doctor and her unpleasant experiments.
