Advantages: A good range of well known actors.

Disadvantages: Not a great storyline.

St Trinians was brought out on 2007, and is a typically teenage-y film, its currently playing on Sky Movies, and I thought I would give it a watch, a friend told me it was good, and so I thought I would give it a try.

St Trinians is an English "ladies" private school, located in the South of England, the school is renowned for its girls' attitudes and bad behaviour and the Head Mistress Mrs Fritton doesn't seem to give a care in world.

When Annabelle Fritton is taken from her expensive private school Cheltenham Ladies College and taken to the cheaper St Trinians on a "family discount" basis, and is thrown in at the deep end with her clsss mates. The Chavs, The Emo's, The Geeks, The Posh Totty and The First Years.

When it becomes apparent the school is to be closed down if Mrs Fritton doesn't raise £500,000 for the bank. So the girls of St Trinians decide to steal the famous painting "The lady in the Pearl earings" from a London art gallery to sell on the black market to Annabelles father under the pretence of a German Art Dealer, and get the money to pay back the bank and avoid bankruptcy.

But first they have to get into the Art Gallery, and thats where the TV show "School Challenge" comes into it, with the finals been held in the Art Galleries Grand Hall. All they have to do is cheat their way to the final. And its at the final that it all kicks off. With Geoffery Thwaits Minister of Education, and father of Verity, head girl of Cheltenhams Ladies College snooping around and trying to find a scoop on St Trinians to get a media frenzy going, the girls have a big wall to climb to save their school and save themselves from going to "real normal schools".

But will the girls pull it off and save their school???

With a huge host of actors: Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, Russell Brand, Steven Fry, Mischa Barton and Girls Aloud, your bound to recognise a face somewhere.

To be honest, I didn't really think much of the film, it was all a bit naff to me, aload of girls running round been sluts, as if anybody would send their children to a school like that...and PAY for it! The storyline is very unforgettable, the acting, well its not too bad by most, but I don't know there's something about which I just don't like.

Alot of people I spoke to about this loved it, but for a comedy I didn't find it at all funny, I like storylines which grab your attention and make you wonder whats going to happen next, the storyline wasn't necesarilly predictable, but just boring. And the introduction of Girls Aloud at the end just made it even worse...I hate them!!!!

I wouldn't recommend watching this really, I was on the verge of actually turning it off but didn't as there was nothing else on so thought I would stick it out. I think maybe its a film for young girls, maybe if I was 7 years younger I would have enjoyed it more.

Summary: Maybe if I was a few years younger I would have enjoyed this more.

I always watched the original st trinians when I was growing up, they were such great fun. I won't even entertain watching this one, it was a remake that should not have been.
