This film is quite possibly my favourite film of all time. I first watched it in an English lesson to analyse the context of it for a media studies lesson, so it is classed as an educational film as well as for entertainment. Ever since then I've loved it. It's heart warming, funny, sad, exciting and touching. I advise it for anyone who's looking for a quite night in reminiscing about childhood memories and remembering the adventures that had with their own friends as children. It's about a group of male friends who go off on an adventure to look for a missing boy, who they heard had died on the train track. This journey includes the camping experience of the boys in the woods, scared, but safe with each other, and along the way they encounter many other troubles, not just physical things such as their meeting with leeches and their rivals, eyeball and his gang , but moral situations, such as whether or not they should continue following the educational route people expect them to take (not a particularly good education, landing them in jail) or should they fight back for what they believe in and make a stand (objecting to becoming a criminal, as everyone expects and becoming a lawyer). The film shows that with the help of your friends you really can achieve what you have always dreamed so long as you persist along the way. A real heart wrenching, yet heart warming experience for all!
