Advantages: some crazily cool fight scenes
Disadvantages: its only 121 mins long...
i only saw star wars episode 4 after i had seen the first three movies so it made quite a lot of sense to me.
Star wars episode 4 was originally released in 1977 and was considered as a technological breakthrough. I must say that the quality has vastly improved on the new dvd. Bcause it was set in outer space many film studios overlooked it as that was not a very popular genre at the time, so the creator George Lucas created a whoel new genre:science fantasy or space fantasy.

The film is set 19 years after the galactic empire was established, and it focuses on the rebel alliance, led by princess leia. The evil darth vader has finished construction on the new ship:the dath star(capable of destroying a planet with one quick blast. Princess leia has attained the blueprints to the death star and aims to find a weakness which the rebels can exploit in their one last attack for freedom. howver, she is captured and taken to the death star. Meanwhile a young farmerboy named luke meets a strange but powerful man named ben kenobe(or obi-wan as he is mopre commonly known). He then begins Lukes training as a jedi as they attempt to rescue the princess, enlisting the help of a rogue thief named hans solo and his chubacca. Sparks soon begin to fly between the princess and han(an unlikely couple i must say)
All this proceeds smoothly with the help of some astounding lightsaber batlles and some enthralling air to air battles.
Watching star wars is like being sent into another galaxy, where things happen that you only thought was possible in dreams. It truly is an escape from reality.
On top of that the soundtrack seems to pleasantly stick in your head.
All in all, a calssic
