Stealth is an interesting movie, but probably not for the 'right' reasons. While at times it's a completely formulaic action movie, somwtimes it strives to be more intelligent than it actually is. "In the near future", out of four hundred applicants for a new Navy programme, only three aviators have been selected. Of course, being America, they're all young and easy on the eye and not at all the experienced aviators you'd expect to fly the state of the art machines. Lt. Ben Gannon (the male one), Lt. Kara Wade (the female one) and Lt. Henry Purcell (the black one) are young hotshots with plenty of attitude who work well as a team under their ... Read the complete review

When I watched this film, my immediate reaction was "Are they being serious?" Imagine my shock when I realized they were trying to be. How to describe this film in a nutshell? Well take a 1980's cult fighter pilot movie launching the career of tom cruise and cross with an attempted 1980's comedy featuring a 'cute' robot gone haywire following being struck by lightning?" Yes you heard that right: It's worrying that a film can derive its source, inspiration and well whole plot outline from Top Gun and Short Circuit. If you take the whole fighter pilot bit, the yeehaw! and the cheese fest from Top Gun and combine it with whole Artificial ... Read the complete review

Wow! This film really has been slated! This surprises me, really. Okay, so it's not the best film ever and it does have some glaring plot holes and silly moments that just aren't believable, but it's still quite enjoyable. Released in 2005 and the DVD going on sale in 2006, it has fallen by the wayside and becomes yet another harmless and average action film. The film starts off well enough, giving us some impressive high flying a la Top Gun, with Lieutenants Henry Purcell (Jamie Foxx), Kara Wade (Jessica Biel) and Ben Gannon (Josh Lucas) all dazzling us in a good opening scene. They are the top pilots for the military, anxious to get an ... Read the complete review

God bless the wonderful execs of Hollywood. Because only they could warrant throwing $130 million at a movie with a talking plane. Stealth is the latest bit of mindless action fluff from the creative minds that brought you The Fast & The Furious and XXX. So if you liked those two movies then you’ll probably enjoy Stealth. A trio of elite Navy pilots have been selected to man up the newest and baddest military plans that the US can offer. There is all American poster boy Josh Lucas, incredibly hot Jessica Biel and token black guy Jamie Foxx. The three of them fly around in these aircraft being flash gits and spouting the kind of dialogue you’ll ... Read the complete review
