Step Brothers was released in 2008 and stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in the main roles. Will Ferrell is very good and in this movie it's almost like Old School to some extent where adults are having a bit of a mid life crisis and acting like teenagers again. In this particular movie two step brothers who are both in their mid forties and behave most of the time like spoiled kids. I have to admit I found it funny in parts but not the best movie I'd ever seen.

Will Ferell's character still lives at home with his mother and can't find a job no matter what he tries. John C. Reilly plays the other son and also lives at home with is dad. He is slightly different to Will Ferrell in that he doesn't have a job but doesn't even want one. Neither of them particularly act their age and don't behave like adults.

Therefore when Will's mum and John's dad marry and move in together they are forced to live with each other and end up fighting all the time. As well as becoming step brothers they also have to share a room which is pretty funny due to their ages. They are both pretty annoyed by the whole situation.

The whole idea of the movie is pretty simple as you can tell and a 90 minute movie is maybe a bit long to be honest with you as I found myself losing interest later on. As it goes on there is just not enough substance for me to make it great.

This movie is not really for younger viewers as there is alot of swearing. I have to confess, that Step Brothers was fun and stupid but it's certainly not the best movie that Will Ferrell has ever appeared in. If you like him then you will want to see this movie but don't expect too much.
