Advantages: Graphics
Disadvantages: Dubbing, plot
Set in the near future, the world is plagued by a sinister organisation called Shadowlaw. It is led by M. Bison who is an evil mastermind bent on capturing the minds and bodies of the world's greatest fighters to conquer the world by turning them into assasins. Ken and Ryu are 2 legendary martial arts warriors and they are the only ones who could possibly stop Bison. An American soldier (Guile) and a Chinese Interpol agent (Chun Li) are also trying to track Bison down whilst figuring out his master plan. Based on the video game, there's not much plot to this anime. If you're a Street Fighter fan or just like fighting scenes, this is for you. All 16 characters from the game are in this film. The Japanese soundtrack has been completely removed but the animation quality is still good, especially during fight scenes and there's the odd bit of character development in there too. The dubbing of the characters' voices however all sound American and not their respective races.

- 29/04/01 I thought this film was excellent and much better than most of the other films you could watch from Manga or Anime, which reminds me, Street fighter is manga isn't it!?? Anyway i don't agree at all, and you missed out all the spiritual side of the film, which can be hard to find. Infact you missed out a lot. |

- 25/01/01 I agree, it is beautifully animated, but really rubbish/stupid/boring - it is amazing that I managed to watch it without falling asleep! |
