Advantages: Classic end of school story.

Disadvantages: Very crude. Explicit language throughout

Superbad is a enlightening mixture of previous teen movies: Porkys, Revenge of the nerds and American pie. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg create a great blend of humor, crude commends, heartfelt characters, and general laugh out loud moment.

The story is that of two best friends who are just about to graduate from High School. After being invited to a party by two of the hottest girls in school they are on a mission to arrive carrying all the alcohol for the party goers, obviously this turns into a comedy of errors, with laughs a plenty.

A sub story of the film is the fact that the two friends, Seth (Johan Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) have go into different colleges and so will be separated when High School ends. Tagging along is the token geek, Fogell (or McLovin as he nicknames himself).

The film is written by Seth Rogen (From Knocked Up) & Evan Goldberg. I have heard that this film is loosely based on their time in high school, however how true this is remains a mystery.

Superbad manages to recapture the fun and humor of the ever popular 80s teen movies. It manages to be both foul-mouthed and sweet-natured, and above all hilariously funny, something not easily achieved. Judd Apatow produced the film and it shows, with hits under his beat such as Knocked up, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and The Cable Guy, his expertise at producing these type of films shines thoughout superbad.

Superbad has an extremely simple structure and story, the manages to create uproarious amounts of laughter throughout the audience, no one person within the film or production can take create for this, as it is the combination of all elements that make the film work. The writing is excellent and the actors truly let you go on the journey with them. The gags are fast anf furious never letting up for air.

Hill (One of Seth Rogen's sidekicks in Knocked up) and Cera (George Michael on Fox’s Arrested Development), are the main character in the film, dominating screen time. They suberbly portray awkward to extremes but still maintain real emotions.

A wonderfully funny, adult viewing, teen movie. You'll cringe, you'll laugh and you'll be unbelievably entertained, my friends and I have been quoting the movie all day after seeing it last night and I imagine we will be quoting it for a very long time to come.

Some of the best quotes:

I just wanna go to the rooftops and scream, "I love my best friend"

Breast Reduction Surgery? That’s like slapping god across the face.

Should take some beers for the road? Yep road beers! Can we have 13 beers for the road?

how old are you?..... old enough.... what for?... to party.

*There are hundreds of brilliant one-liners in this movie, this are just a very small sample.

Summary: Must See!

It does look like the title is the correct review from what I have heard.
