I've always been a big fan of movies with cool and strange visions of the future and I love Bruce Willis. So when I heard about this film I was very intrigued. Unfortunately though, the old 'we're getting to smart for our own good' thing that's going on in a lot of futuristic movies is getting really old now. Oh, that and this movie is just boring. We're thrown into this world where everyone uses a robot replica of themselves (a surrogate) to go about their everyday lives, whilst their real body stays at home. It was an interesting idea for a film, but when you realise that when anyone gets killed, they don't really die, it eliminates the suspense a lot of ... Read the complete review

Surrogates provides another vision of the future a little like I Robot in that it links our future living styles to our dependence on technology and in this case robots. In this future socety people are ble to control a robot which is their own property through a sort of mind control, this means that many people never leave the house as they get the robot to do everything for them. Bruce Willis stars in this film as Tom Greer a man who stays in his home and lives his own life through his surrogate robot that looks the same as him. The fact that he works as a police officer does not seem to cause any issues, after all it is the robot that takes all the risks on ... Read the complete review

In the future, humans live their lives through the use of a surrogate, a remote-controlled robot, which is created to look like their owner. However, owners make their surrogates look younger and better looking so they can live out their perfect lives through them. There's also the advantage that surrogates cannot get ill or be harmed and so the world is now free from crime, disease and murder. But when the first surrogate ever is found murdered and its human equivalent ends up dead too, FBI agent Tom Greer sets out to investigate how the impossible has happened and who is behind the murders, throwing him into a huge conspiracy behind the surrogate world, ... 2017 is an apparently Utopian world where everyone is perfect and beautiful. Except that they're not really, they're all living their lives through robot surrogates made to look however they want, while they sit at home in a stim chair experiencing everything the surrogate does. However it all begins to go wrong when someone kills two surrogates and their human selves die too, something that isn't supposed to happen. FBI agents Greer (Bruce Willis) and Peters (Radha Mitchell) are sent to investigate and begin to find connections to the creator of the surrogates. During the investigations Greer almost dies when his surrogate comes under attack and is forced to ... Read the complete review
