I used to date a guy from Alabama who I met in Georgia, and when I get nostalgic about my wild, youthful days (when I was 21 as apposed to the, um, 22 I am now) I put on this film. I was extremely disappointed by Sweet Home Alabama. Like I've said in my previous movies, there is nothing more that I despise than seeing a film with great potential being messed up due to poor acting and plot flow. I am also usually a huge fan of Reese Witherspoon but I felt extremely let down by her less-than perfect performance in this film. In addition, in true American southern fashion, there was too much emphasis on the distinction between the 'Yankees' and the 'Southerners', to such a magnified extent that I felt like I was watching a film where the lead actor and actress belonged to two different species.
