I was lucky enough to tape this when it was on Channel 4 late a few years ago and it is one of my most watched films. It was made on a shoestring budget and this is reflected in the production values, but the message is the most important thing in this film, not the quality. The basic premise of this, one of the first and strongest 'Blaxploitation' films, is that Melvin Van Peebles is up against 'The Man' and he is a mean pissed off dude who is on the run after murdering some white police.
