Advantages: Berry, Jackman
Disadvantages: Johnny's hair
Loads of hip, up to date stuff about PC's, featuring Huge Ackman, Johnty ravolta and Allan Berry - This is one of those big hyped up blockbusters which transfer so lovingly onto the Sky Premier channel giving us endless hours of pleasure on a Saturday night when they;re run over and over and over again. Mr Travolta is supposed to be one big time operator, although he just looks like a porky dude with a naff haircut. He needs a crackerjack hacker to aid his crime spree and he sends Ms Berry to 'persuade' Hugh to participate in the computer aided theft - SNAP goes old Hughie as Johnny Boy threatens his daughter, but ULP there's no way out and we see Ms Berry's nicer bits DROOL DROOL. SWORDFISH is quite a stylish and snazzy little thriller - it's hype is bigger than its substance but it's a good way to spend a Saturday night. I was expecting an awful lot from Swordfish before I saw it because of those larger than life trailers, and I certainly got a lot of glossy, good looking dream scenes, but I'm afraid that it didn't go that extra mile as far as I was concerned - it was certainly classy, and eminently watchable and just about kept you on the edge of your seat, but so do loads of films. It could have been better, but it could have been worse and at least we saw Johnny get a haircut to make you forget Pulp Fiction. Mr Jackman proved that he can be more than a mutant and he did nothing to stop his budding rep as a younger and better looking Clint Eastwood, while Halle is a tonic for the troops and no mistake - shame the compuer screens lokked like they'd been copped from Jurassic Park...
