Taare Zameen Par released in the year 2007, is one of the blockbusters of 2007. This movie brings out to talent one Master Darsheel Safary on whom the story is based, and the other talent is Aamir Khan the director of the movie. The movie is based on the story of a Dyslexic Kid.

Plot:

Ishaan Awasthi is an eight-year-old boy, whose life is not like the other kids around him of his age. His world is filled with things like colors, Animals being innovative. So study is something, which does not attract him, nor does any sport. But this does not goes well with people who are there near to him.
His father and teachers want him to study hard, do his homework on time, don't mischief and be neat and tidy. But all this does not go well with Ishaan because nothing goes right with him in his class. On the other hand his elder is excellent in everything, from studies to sport. So his father is always in praise for his elder son. And says to Ishaan why cant you be like him. Ishaan but have a good relationship with his brother and mother.

Ishaan always have a fight with kids in the neighborhood, so everyday there is complaint about Ishaan from his school, from neighbors. Seeing this his father decides to send him to Boarding school where he can learn some discipline and be good at study as well. But Ishaan request his father but all that falls on deaf ears, his mother also don't wont to do this but is helpless against her Husband.
Now in Boarding school there is this new art teacher Nikumbh who has a different way of teaching arts, he breaks the Normal way of teaching and ask them to think, dream and imagine and all the children in class responds back with enthusiasm, except Ishaan.

Nikumbh seeing this feels that there is something wrong with Ishaan and he is not happy. He tries to find out what's wrong with Ishaan, he finds it and now wants to help Ishaan.
Will he be able to help Ishaan?
You need to watch the movie to find out what does teacher Nikumbh tries to help Ishaan.

Music:
Shankar Ehsaan & Loy and lyrics give the music by Praful Joshi. Music of this movie is brilliant and all the songs go very well with the script of the movie. But two songs are just outstanding, one being the title track and the other one is 'MAA'. In fact Maa song all the awards for best Lyrics in the year 2007. Personally this is my favorite song, the lyrics are so touching, it describes about the son asking her Mom that is he so bad that they are keeping him away from them.

My Analysis:
Well when I first heard about the film I thought it's a kid film and would only attract and made for Kids. But I was all wrong when I watched it, this movie brings out that every child is not same, they have different hobbies, their strength and weaknesses. It brings out that every child is not interested in Books/Studies/Sports.

The 1st half of the movie is touching and make your eyes wet, seeing the life of Ishaan. The relationship of Mother and son is shown brilliantly. Ishaan on his own without Aamir being in the screen in first half grabs your attention and not even for a second lets your attention go away.
The second half is the best as it brings out what's wrong with Ishaan, this part is challenging and motivating at the same time. Here comes the entry of Aamir Khan, Aamir finding something wrong with Ishaan, Aamir trying to find out whats wrong and then Helping Ishaan.

But the best part is the finale 20-25 Minutes of the movie. It's so motivating and you leaves a smile on your face. It can bring tears and smile at the same time even to the most stonehearted person in the world.
Taare Zameen Par belongs to Master Darsheel Safary on performance and to aamir as a storyteller.

Darsheel's performance is just outstanding in one word. A performance that deserves everything, even the best performances from other people look pale. A kid of his age giving this brilliant performance is something unlikely. His performance was Flawless, Astounding & Impeccable. It takes some of us to our own childhood days. Its makes you laugh, cry and the most important grabs your attention from start.
Tisca Chopra as the mother was also very good, Vipin Sharma & Sachet Engineer were also very good with their respective roles. All the teachers and kids in the film have done justice to the role.

Aamir Khan as an actor is always brilliant and there is no doubt about that, and this movie as well he was simply great. But this was his first movie as a director and seeing this he should get distinction marks for getting out such a brilliant performance who is facing the camera for the first time and executing the plot so brilliantly and with such great sensitivity. In his debut film he proves that he will be going far with his directing capability's as well.
On the whole Taare Zameen Par gives out a strong message, as a parent makes you feel that you should not pressurized your kids and try to understand them, also all the great people that are world have seen were not good at their schooling. It shows how some parents force their child to progress Academically, forgetting that their kid might be good at something else.

Well this is a movie, which should be watched by every one, and specially parents & teachers. It gives out a strong message to them.

Trivia:
This movie originally was to be directed by the Amol Gupte who is the writer of this movie, and only produced by Aamir. But due to some differences with Amol on direction things, Aamir decided to direct the movie himself.

But this movie is worth a look....
