Ever wondered what might be the most relevant piece of film-making?Something that everyone would relate to,something that everyone should watch,atleast once.If you ever wondered it,this is the answer! It is the most important film to be made and to be seen.I will tell you why.
Taare Zameen par is about a dyslexic boy,a film that enters the world of Ishaan(played extraordinarily by Darsheel Safari,this boy will go a long way) and invites us to experience his world.A world that i am sure each of us had in that age,a period where everything was so simple and interesting.Being a dyslexic boy,he faces problems in his studies and his day-to-day life,and neither the parents nor the teacher are aware of his state.He is pressurized from both fronts and no one seems to understand him.
In an attempt to make him study,his dad finally sends away to a boarding school away from home and we see how painful it is for the boy to leave away from the mother,and his strong attachment to his brother(who is cared for by the parents since he scores good marks and is good in sports).
Enter Aamir khan,the new drawing teacher in the boarding school and he is all set to know more about the boy,his sufferings.His keen interest in helping the boy has a deeper meaning(which i won't disclose).He tries to help the parents and the other teachers understand the kid, and it is how he does it that makes the film all the more special.
There are no unnecessary song and dance sequence,the background score is mellow and extentuates the film's proceedings.The picturisation of the song "maa" would leave you in tears(even if you are the most strong hearted) and the film would leave a smile on your face,and a constant thought which would linger on forever.
The DVD comes in with extra features such as director's commentary(which is a must for every Aamir khan fan) and a panel discussion on dyslexia which is really informative.
This is one film that has the capability to bring about a change in your mentality,ur sensibility towards children.Every person in this world are either parents or going to be one someday,and i beleive every parent should watch this film.It is a must.
Ditto for Aamir Khan for making this film! Watch it and i am sure you would become a better person in general.

Summary: This film is recommended to all the parents,and all the people who will be parents in the future!
