 ... changes, and a lot of the musical numbers were reordered. The DVD version is from London. Anyway, this is no ordinary musical. The theatre was small enough that the actors didn't stay on the stage, but could get in with the audience, and one scene sees most of the cast go into the audience, getting people to dance and chatting to random strangers. Taboo, inspired by 1980's Boy George, is a strange musical. Its not a film version, as with Evita or Moulin Rouge, but the stage musical, and the, at times, amateurish camera work can be distracting, but watch the first 15 minutes and you'll be hooked, even getting to enjoy the camera work that helps you feel as if you are on stage, acting out the scenes. The stage version first opened in London, starring Boy George himself, before Rosie O'Donnell financed the Broadway production, which was savagely criticised and closed after only 100 shows.
