Advantages: Does contain some rather amusing scenes for those with a black sense of humor.

Disadvantages: Liam Neeson represents another unkillable American action hero

Taken.

A hard paced action film Taken follows the usual plot of a near superhuman like protagonist out for revenge; after having been wronged by a mysterious and unknown criminal organisation.

In this case the superhuman protagonist is Liam Neeson. While his vengeance is based around his daughter being kidnapped by an Albanian human trafficking and sex trafficking organisation. His vengeance sends him leaving a trail of chaos through France as he batters, tortures and murders anyone between him and his daughter. His quest will stop at nothing as he defies the French authority in the search for his daughter.

While taken does contain some rather amusing scenes for those with a darker sense of humour; I do not believe it is a worth while watch. The criminals show levels of incompetence that can only be compared to those of other action films like Die Hard. While you have to wonder how any criminals are left at large when the Americans train all CIA operatives to a level where they can simply only be described as invincible.

All in all I consider this to be a very poor film.
