'Taxi to the Dark Side' is an Oscar winning documentary which is marketed as the story of Dilawar, an Afghan taxi driver, who was arrested on 5 December 2002 and held at the Bagram Air Base. This was a former Soviet Air Base which had been converted to an American prison. Five days later Dilawar was dead. Dilawar was the second person to die in a week whilst being in custody. The initial press releases said that these deaths were due to natural causes and it was only on further investigation that the whole story started to come out.
