It was one of those that I missed seeing in the cinema. Oh, sure, I'd vaguely heard that it was good -- but then, that's the epithet applied to most of 'em, isn't it? Still, the memory of the recommendation lurked in my mind. And so, when I saw it on sale in the cut-price shop, I impulse bought. After all, if it turned out to be rubbish, £4 wasn't a fortune to have lost. But I certainly wasn't in any particular hurry to prove the waste of money, and so the video sat on the shelf for several weeks until an anonymous day when terrestrial TV boasted nothing-worth-watching for the third consecutive day.
