I have always been a fan of teachers and was addicted to series 1 and 2. Now while Series 4 is defintely worth watching, I must warn that I did find it VERY different from what went before it. At the opening we are reunited with regulars Lindsey, Penny, Carol, Liz and Bob (yes, hes back and even more annoying). Sommerdown has merged with another school and all the action takes place there - The Watkins School. The three male leads, Brian, Kurt and Matt have been replaced with three new teachers at the new school, Ewan, Damien and (I cant remember the others name but he teachers RE and is played by Matt Horne). But there are still enough reasons to watch, with Bob, one of the main original secondary characters, as watchable as ever and the mains introduced in seasons two and three still doing a good job in coming in late to the show and the appearance of Kurt and Doug clones managing to entertain enough. 'Teachers' is back for a new term, only in this fourth installment, there are quite a few changes. For those of you who haven't seen it, 'Teachers' is a comedy/drama series set in a school in Bristol, and follows the lives of a group of teachers mainly in their twenties. The cast of the show has changed slightly from each series, and in this one it is as follows: Gillian Bevan as Clare aka Mrs Hunter - The tough headmistress. Ursula Holden Gill as Carol Schickelgruber - Clare’s shy, whispering assistant, who has wonky eyes and wears thick glasses. Ellen Thomas as Liz - The sassy, gossipy secretary. Lloyd McGuire as Bob Porter - The roly-poly, ... Read the complete review
