This film is currently on general release. A DVD will go on sale in September. Joe Meek is hardly the best-known figure in 60s pop. A successful producer in the few years before The Beatles, he had two or three hits that people would remember now, but didn't achieve lasting success. Left behind by fashion, troubled by mental health problems, and tormented by debt, Meek's story didn't have a happy ending.
