Batman as John Connor. Bale does reasonably well in my opinion, a bit wooden at times but he is very much suited to the action hero role. I loved the hijacking of the evil motorbike, and riding away to save the day, but considering the fast reflexes they had in the car chase scene, it was hilarious that the evil ninja bike was defeated by a length of rope.

For me the best acting came from Worthington. He had much more depth and soul to his character although also a few very cheesy and heroic moments. An interesting concept which was not explored enough was the fallibility of humans and their complete lack of humanity even when the end of the world is nigh.

On the upside, there was an incredible amount of crashing and banging and things going boom which is absolutely essential. And no terminator film is complete without a vat of boiling lava.

Though the ending was predictable and the plot not very taxing it was good enough film for pure action scenes. However, even on that level, films like Transformers are definitely superior especially as it has a particular comedic element to help it along.

In my opinion, not the best film but worth watching for completeness' sake.
