Terminator Salvation still a worthy addition to the franchise (Terminator Salvation (DVD))
Member Name: usadragon
Advantages: Special Effects, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin and lots of Terminator action Disadvantages: Christian Bales wooden performance as John Conner Are you a huge fan of the Terminator films/franchise? Well Terminator Salvation delivers on Effects (both Visual and Sound) and that's really about it. One of summer blockbuster of 2009. This film however suffers from not enough character development although I think the director McG was on the right track, but needed a tighter script and story to work with. You can tell in this film that he has however done his homework as there are lots of throw backs to the pervious films like thread joining a piece of material together. Christian Bale plays John Conner but unfortunately he doesn't bring anything special to the role and I thought his character was boring and bland. It's Sam Worthington who plays Marcus Wright and actor Anton Yelchin who plays the young Kyle Reese who really steals the show with strong performances. I thought seeing the older terminator models in action such as the T-1, T-600 and the development of the T-800's was cool. Overall this film does exactly what it says on the tin it's an above average Sci-Fi action movie and in my opinion still worthy to fly the Terminator franchise banner. Summary: It's an above average Sci-Fi Action film and in my opinion still worthy to fly the Terminator flag |
