Advantages: Certain elements expected of an action film

Disadvantages: Drags on, fights scenes pitiful, much too predictable

Marcus Wright, an inmate on death row, signs a form permitting his body to be used for medical research. This occurs in 2003. Skynet turns on humans 1yr after this. We first see John Connor in 2018 leading a Resistance attack. When we next encounter Marcus Wright he awakens in 2018 unaware of the year and the threat of Skynet. Eventually he meets the Resistance who discover Wright is a cyborg, something previously unknown to Wright.

Terminator Salvation fails to deliver. It's far too predictable including the ending which is absolutely ridiculous. I watched it with a friend who fell asleep not once, not twice but three or four times throughout the film. His actions depict my own feelings about it. The plot doesn't appear to move on until at least half way through by which point you're almost past caring. The fight scenes are quite disappointing for a Terminator film and the whole thing just drags on and on.

As it did have some of the basic elements of a Terminator film I'll give it two stars but it's certainly not a must watch.
