Advantages: Action, Story and Fun.

Disadvantages: Some things will leave you wondering why?

This is a great film, could be seen by some as the film that has brought the series back on track. It might not be the best film in the series, but it's heading the right way and is still great fun to watch.

In the film, Marcus Wright is about to face his death, and will be given a kiss in exchange for his body being donated to medical science. Then, in 2018, he finds himself awake in a war-torn world, and needs to find some answers. Humanity, lead by John Connor are fighting back against SkyNet and the machines, but they are losing as the enemy is able to make big technological advances. Now, humanity needs to fight back against the machines.

The script is well written, and the actors do a good job of presenting it. The film does have some boring spots, but for the most part the action is jam packed into the film and there isn't a dull moment. However, Bale is sometimes annoying, with no real skill, just shouting out. Not one of his best films.

Next, fans of the series will like this film, with the return to the classy plot, but it still has lots of action and has a difference that means non-series fans can still watch and enjoy. It has plenty of twists and turns to entertain.

However, in some places the film is also confusing with weird camera angles for the action scenes and other thinks that will leave you wondering why?

The film looks the part, with some nice special effects and the good quality picture. Plus, the sound is top-notch too.

Summary: A return to form for the series.
