Are you a huge fan of the Terminator films/franchise? Well Terminator Salvation delivers on Effects (both Visual and Sound) and that's really about it. One of summer blockbuster of 2009. This film however suffers from not enough character development although I think the director McG was on the right track, but needed a tighter script and story to ... Read the complete review

Terminator Salvation is not Terminator plain and simple, so long as you watch this not thinking of Arnie and the 80's then you should quite like it. It's very action packed, with bullets flying all over but the storyline is rather broken and piecemeal. It feels as if the script was rather cobbled together using the original story of Terminator ... Read the complete review

Given that Terminator 3 was pretty dire I did not expect too much from this film however it was a lot better than I expected it to be, still not as good as the first or second one but a much more fitting addition to the series non the less. The big question was whether a Terminator film could work without the prescence of Arnie and to ... Read the complete review

Batman as John Connor. Bale does reasonably well in my opinion, a bit wooden at times but he is very much suited to the action hero role. I loved the hijacking of the evil motorbike, and riding away to save the day, but considering the fast reflexes they had in the car chase scene, it was hilarious that the evil ninja bike was defeated by a length ... I have to admit I came to this film a bit unsure. In my mind Terminator means Arnie, and vice versa. Still, Andrew wanted to watch it, so we gave it a go. First off, the storyline is pretty confusing. It involves a mix of being set in the past and the future and having some characters either from past or future depending on who you ... I was highly skeptical of when i heard that they were making this film so i decided to check it out. Instead of of having one main story line and one main character it felt like the focus of the film was divided between Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. It felt to me like the main story should have been about how Worthington's character related ... Read the complete review

In post-apocalyptic 2018, Judgement Day has occurred and the few remaining humans left on earth live in a grey and bleak world in constant fear of their lives. EUGH. I know Im going to struggle to convey my disappointment in this film across the internet, but I feel obliged to try, just to save some of you from going through the same painful experience that I did. firstly let me just say, i am a huge geeky fan boy of Science fiction films with any kind of time travel or timeline plot, and i absoloutely loved T1, and T2. T3 was a pile of rehashed and poorly performed tosh, so when salvation was announced i was as excited as a schoolboy looking forward to the party at the end of term. Cristian Bale ... When a new instalment of the Terminator franchise was announced, along with the news that McG was to direct, many people were dreading the final outcome, and the further decline in the quality of the infamous films. As I am sure you aware, Terminator Salvation is a sequel following the 3 other terminator movies. Personally, I've been a fan of them from the very start and the first two especially, I loved. The third was still good - it didn't have the impact of the first two but still was good - and had an amazing ending. Taking all of this into ... Read the complete review

I watched this movie in the cinema and to give my honest opinion I think terminator has lost it's edge. This is another film that proves that with big explosions lots of fighting and big actor names director's think they can own the big screen I can tell you a thousand ways I would have rather spent my money. I have never exactly been a major fan of Terminator but I really enjoyed this movie! It's not what I'd call a brilliant movie but it was enjoyable: Great CGI, some kick-ass fights and good acting all around. The only problem was the plot! But then again with Terminator, the plot is irrelevant :-)

I was really looking forward to seeing the new TERMINATOR movie. I have been a fan of these movies since the very first one, back in the mid-1980s, and when Terminator 2 came out in 1991 I truly believed that it was the best movie I had ever seen. Terminator 3 was nowhere near as good - mainly because of the inclusion of too much humour, but the ... Read the complete review

If you're as much a fan of the Terminator franchise as I am (particularly the first two instalments), then you were avidly awaiting the latest entry, especially when it was announced that Christian Bale had joined the cast as none other than series protagonist John Connor. Right, I'm not going to go into the detail of the plot and the cast etc, as it's been done elsewhere, but by way of a short synopsis, this film is set in the 'future war' elluded to in the first three, with John Connor battling Skynet as part of the resistance (he's not the saviour of manking just yet). Cue time travelling scenarios and generally ... Read the complete review

I was going to the cinema with a few mates and had the choice to see this or drag me to hell. Deciding to watch this was definately a good idea.
