 ... I heard that '4400' was not going to be renewed I have to say that I was not too upset as the show was a bit cheesy for my liking. However, having seen season 4 I have changed my mind as it was about to reach its full potential. Scale is an important element in a TV show, especially science fiction. The makers must decide on what scale they wish to set the show; a small intimate show about a close group of characters, or a wide open expanse set in space with giant planet based warfare? What you don't normally get is a show that moves from one to the other. When I waved goodbye to 'The 4400' at the end of its final season (Season 4) it was a very different show from the one I started watching. Had it grown into a show I could be proud of?
