Advantages: Some good actors

Disadvantages: The film is poor

I never expected to see Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Carlyle in a film together, but now I have done. The film was publicised as being a 'Brit' movie, but it feels very American - it has all the staples of American action movies. You want gun battles? You got 'em. You want car chases? You got 'em. You want a nonsensical plot with unbelievable characters? You got 'em.

Maybe I'm being too harsh, but I don't think so. The storyline has Jackson as McElroy, a guy from L.A. who comes to Liverpool to find a market for his new drug. And that's about it.

Don't see this film - Jackson and Carlyle both try but it's not worth your time, money or effort. Unless you want to see Jackson in a kilt. Yes folks, that's as good as it gets.

Avoid.

Well that was, if you don't mind my saying, the poorest review of a film I've ever read. If you can't put more effort into explaining your viewpoint why should any of us take your opinion seriously? I thought the film was great.

I'd be interested to know what else made it such a bad film, especially as it is one that I'm quite interested in seeing.
