I’m ashamed to say that I saw this film recently on a pirate DVD given to me by a friend of a friend .It was however really funny and as such I’ve ordered the collector’s edition DVD – who says copyright theft is killing the film industry? . I didn’t hold out much hope for the film , mainly because it stars Rob Schneider, the man who single handedly made the Judge Dredd film the pile of pants that it was. Still as it was a freebie I gave it a go and although it’s no classic it has more laughs than most. PREMISE Schneider plays Marvin a downtrodden Police evidence clerk. He lives in a garage that has all of his ... Read the complete review

The Animal was released in 2001 by Columbia Pictures. The film is 84 minutes long and is rated 12 due to some crude and sexual humour. PLOT Marvin Mange has always wanted to be a police officer like his dad but is very uncoordinated. Instead of being the police officer he wants to be, he works as a trainee in the evidence room. He's tried passing the physical part of the police exam in the past but can never complete the obstacle course. One day while all the real police officers are playing softball, he gets a call about a robbery and attempts to go sort it out himself. On his way to the crime scene, he is involved in a car accident and ... Read the complete review

The Animal is one of the best romantic comedies that I have seen in recent years. It also has one of the most unique plots that I have ever seen. It is fairly short at 83 minutes but in at least it doesn’t drag the same gags out till they fall flat so in that respect it is short and sweet. Marvin (Rob Schneider) is a clerk in a small police station and is just managing to make ends meet. He is clumsy and constantly messes things up. He then has an accident and is one the brink of death but is saved by a mad doctor who uses animal parts to save his life. This has the comical side effect that Marvin starts to act like these animals in certain situations. ... Read the complete review

The Animal is another comedy from the amazing comedy legend that is Rob Schneider (star of Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo, Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo and the Hot Chick). The film sees Schneider playing the part of Marvin Mange who is a police file clerk who dreams of one day becoming a cop but one day a huge accident sees Marvin drive off the edge of a cliff and end up in hospital where when he awakes he finds that he has been put back together by a doctor and now seems to have very strong animal qualities like an increased sense of smell, able to run at insane paces, etc. As Marvin finds things getting worse when animals and people have been attacked by some manbeast ...
