Advantages: The cinematography is very good

Disadvantages: It is slow moving and dull

I bought this film with excitement I love the story of Jesse James from when I was young and I thought Brad Pitt would do an extra special job in performing that role. It was also highly rated by both Empire and Total Film. They both gave it five stars.

The film is set in 1880's America and tells the story of the last days of America's most famous outlaw.

From the start I disliked this film I felt it was extremely slow moving and nothing really happened. It is the first film in about 12 years that I have had to stop watching because I was bored and didn't like it. Having said that the bits I did see were beautifully shot and looked the part.

In short I bought this DVD thinking it would be good but I hated it and now plan to sell it on to someone as soon as possible.

Summary: Western that doesn't cut the mustard in my book.
