 ... kung-fu master, who teaches him how to improve he rythem, technique and speed, anything to give him the edge. There is a lot of slapstick comedy to be seen during the film, remenicent of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. The fight scenes are more comical then in films like Police Story and Project A, there isn't quite as much brutality let's say! This is one of Jackie's first attempts at cracking the US movie market. Although he made guest appearances in Cannonball Run 1 & 2, he played a backseat role to be fair. Here he is given the leading role of a young fighter who is training for the upcoming Battle Creek Brawl, a street fighting competition for fighters from all over - last man standing wins. His character trains with an old and wise kung-fu master, who teaches him how to improve he rythem, technique and speed, anything to give him the edge.
