Disadvantages: Everything about the film

When I saw that The Blair Witch Project was going to be on Sky movies I was pleased, as I had not had the chance to go to the cinema to watch it. After all the hype etc about the film I was expecting to be scared stiff. So my husband and I sat down in a darkened room to watch the film…

Half way through I was thinking that perhaps we were watching the wrong film, as this was not in the least bit scary – just very boring. It must get better we thought!

It didn’t. I have to say that I was very, very disappointed. At no point was I scared, amused or even interested. When the film finished, my husband both sat and looked at each other as if to say “Is that it?”.

We both found it the most boring, crap film we had seen in a long time. I cannot understand all the hype that accompanied the film on its release. Perhaps I was missing something, if so, so was my husband and we are both lovers of horror, thriller etc. Colleagues at work said it was the tension in the film that they found good – what tension? Some said it was the way it was filmed – why? Some said it was the great ending – what great ending? I’m sure we must have watched a totally different film from all those people praising it and I’m afraid that I can do nothing but condemn it, sorry!

oh yes, this has got to be the biggest let-down of all time! I watched it in the cinema and my mom literally sobbed with laughter all the way through - it's still a standing joke in our family! The sequel is marginally better.
