Have you ever wanted a movie that was funny, exciting AND has brilliant music also? Well this is the movie for you.

The first time I watched this movie I was 5 years old and even to this day I enjoy watching it. From the moment you see early morning Chicago to when you see the entire film crew singing "Jailhouse Rock" I have a big grin of satisfaction on my smug face.

The Blues Brothers started their beginnigs on the US comedy show "Saturday Night Live". This show also launched the career of Chevy Chase. Wayne's World also debuted on this show.

From this they decided to make a movie and in 1980 Jake and Elwood Blues were truly born.

The movie is all to do with these 2 brothers (Jake and Elwood) trying to keep the orpanage where they grew up from being torn down. They decide to "Put the Band back together" and raise the money. They could have had the money when they found out, but the head Nun, who they affectionetly call "The Penguin" will not accept any stolen money. So they go on the road, in their second hand police car and try to raise the money.

On their way they meet some very strange characters, all of which are played by extremly famous people of the 80's. eg. Twiggy, Carrie Fisher, James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles.

They get in trouble with the police, cowboys and even the Nazi party. It's all very weird but uncannily funny! But then again this is only my opinion. But I do think that everybody should see this movie. It is one of those unwritten laws like everyone needs to know who Guns 'n' Roses are. Enjoy.
