The Boat That Rocked (The Boat That Rocked (DVD))
Member Name: purplenix
Advantages: A n amazing cast of actors Disadvantages: The only down fall is the fact that this film is slightly to long for my liking. The Boat that rocked is a film set in the 1960's about a pirate radio station floating in the North Sea, just outside of British waters. Run a mixed bag of DJ's who live on the boat and broadcasts pop music to millions of UK listeners. At a time when traditional stations wouldn't and their battle against the nasty British Minister, who will stop at nothing to shut the station down. This film has an amazing cast of actors and some brilliantly funny and captivating characters, who share the spotlight well. This film has lots of funny gags, zippy one-liners and is perfect if you have 2 and half hours to fill. But one of the film's greatest strength is its truly amazing soundtrack, with the best of 60's rock'n'roll, with everyone from The Kinks and The Who to Hendrix and The Hollies.
