Advantages: Good soundtrack

Disadvantages: Overlong, a bit boring at times.

Wasn't really sure what to expect from this film. Had seen adverts on trips to the cinema and was still unsure so waited until released on DVD. Film has an amazing, feelgood soundtrack that will make you smile the whole way through. Film itself is based on a group of men who are based on a ship anchored to the seas off the coast of England who broadcast newer rock, pop and commentary off of pirate radio during a time that radio only really broadcasts classical music. The british goverment however do their upmost to stop pirate radio broadcasting and go to great lengths to do so. With performances from British greats such as Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans and Nick Frost the film does provide us with some good comedy moments but in general seems to lack direction from what could have been achieved by a film set during this creative revolution.

Summary: Not top of the list but ok if nothing else to watch!
