Advantages: Good story line

Disadvantages: bad choice of actors

I watched this film the other night with my partner. We were in two minds about this film from its trailer. I thought it looked like it had very good potential for a light hearted laugh. My partner wasn't in the same frame of mind and wasn't that sure of it.

Never the less i went ahead and rented it from Lovefilm.

The film follows a group of men on a ship in the ocean who put out a radio show to the mainland. It is based in the 1960's and it is the only radio station that plays rock music. This is much to the bemusement of the government who want to shut the station down as they feel it is having a negative affect on the country.

It is very light hearted and easy to follow. It is a very upbeat film and will provide a few laughs.

I felt the characters in the film were good but wasn;t a fan of the actors they chose. The clothing and feel of the film was good but not great towards to the 1960's. I felt the actors were fairly weak overall and didn't do the story justice.

There were actaully times when me and my partner lost total interest in the film and at one point she actually fell asleep which is never a good sign.

Some may enjoy this but we weren't fans.

Summary: Very average, not one i'd recommend.
