Advantages: Entertaining, lively and sad too

Disadvantages: Predictable ending

I have just watched this film today, and i absolutly loved it. It's a brilliant story and it makes you think, this could have actually happened, it's that convincing of a film, that you start to think this is a true story.

This film is set in Germany, just after 1937, in world war 2. The basic storyline is that a german family have to move house as the farther of the house, a German solider, gets promoted and must move to the country side ''Unitl the war is won'' so he can start his new job with his new role. The family have to learn to settle in and the new house is very different to the previous one with soliders constantly guarding them. The farthers new role is being in charge of a large consentration camp for the jews, i'm sure you know what these are.

The little boy of the family is told he is not allowed into the back garden as it is ''forbidden'' because his parents know that the camp is behind the house, however the children are un aware of this. One day the little boy gets too curious and goes into the back garden, he then discovers a forest, and keeps going further and further away from the house until he gets to the edge of the camp, there he see's a young jewish boy and begins to talk to him, every day from there he comes back to visit the jewish boy and gives him food and becomes friends with him. This friendship is very strong and is brilliant to watch, the whole adventure of it is brilliant.

But, there is however, a very predictable ending to the film but i'm not going to say what happens incase you want to watch the film.

I would absolutly recommend this film to watch, but 4 stars for the predictable ending.

Summary: Very good watch, makes you think how bad war must have been.
